What exactly do you need in order to play PSX/PSone backups on a PS2?

I came here with the specific goal of finding an answer to this question, and thought I might be in luck when I dug up a few threads (a couple on the front page, even) that posed a very similar question. Unfortunately, some of those threads have either gone off course or simply do not give a solid answer to the question. I just got Swap Magic 3.6 in the mail today, and it has worked like a charm on both of the PS2DVD games I have tried. Unfortunately, when it came time for me to try a PSX backup (tried both Rally Cross and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and then tried SotN again with the 2SP Patcher I downloaded), I quickly discovered that the included CD swap disk is apparently only compatable with PS2CD games. So I ask you helpful patrons of AD this: what are the precise steps that must be taken to get PSX backups to work on a PS2? The easiest and cheapest solution would obviously be most preferable. Thanks.

you didn't do enough searching 'cause this has been answered before. You need breaker pro in conjunction with swap magic to play ps1 backups.
