Hi, When I play CD back-up games (Sega Ages games like Fighting Vipers) I can hear the laser beeping when playing. Some games also stutter and suffer from bad timing with voice samples etc.

Is this anything to worry about? Is this normal or is it to do with the quality of CDs I have burnt the image to?

I am using the Swap Magic 3.6.

Please help.

When the laser is accessing (loading next part of the game or loading a voice etc), I hear regular cd accessing sounds as well as 'un-healthy' sounds which includes a short high pitched beep (similar to a DreamCast VMU but quieter and shorter).

Anyone heard of this before and what is causing it. I've tried a few different burned CDs and so far around 60% suffer from this. (5 different Sega Ages 2500 all do this and so does the VF4 Evo CD, Raiden III and Gradius 4 do not).

Could be a sign of laser stress.
