@ 340duster,

Memorex is known here at AD as Memosux, very low quality media and now u know why. i wouldn't be suprised if the ones u burned at 2x will not work done the road either.

Check this out here are scans of the best media and some of the worst
look at the quality score in the lower right of the scan

Best media, which u can get for at about the same price as crap media

i'm not getting any errors after the burn is complete.
they have just stopped playing in my dvd players.
unless i burn at 2x which is way to slow..
but they will play through Nero or window media on my computer.

Did u check out the scans in mine and gwendolin's post?
thats all the info u need of why not to buy crap media

DVD players are more picky than DVD burners or Roms when it comes to playback. i hope u realize how low quality media is a crapshoot when it comes to them playing on ur dvd player as u have found out 1st hand. and the longevity of the disk, sure u might not get any errors when burning but in 6 months to a year u will start to see pixaleting, freezeing, skiping and thats even if they play,
but in the end its your money, just giving u advice about crap media is all, take it or leave it.
