I tried burning a PS2 game as usual with Alcohol 120, I created the image without problem, however the image size is 6 gig, is there any way to shrink this file to 4.5 gig to fit on a DVDR? Or is it possible to burn this file onto a double layer DVD with a normal dvd burner? Thanks
if your burner supports dl burning then yes you can burn it to dl but, you may need to patch the iso first with the team toxic dual layer patcher (not sure if that's the exact name)depending on what mod you have. If you use swap magic then you need to shrink it for sure because sm doesn't support dl, for details on shrinking search the forums.
My house mate has ISO buster, the game is called 24, it is a tv show made into a ps2 game, i am in australia im not sure if it is showed in other countries. I have never used ISO buster before, the game is currently burnt into one image on Alcohol 120, the size of image is 6 gig. is it going to be possible to compress the game to 4.5 gig or alternately burn it double layer with Alcohol 120? In theory burning it double layer could be tough as i am unsure whether Alcohol 120 can burn double layer and if it can do it will it be able to seperate the file at the right spot to enable the game to work?
PAL version won't fit on a single DVD, you could try ripping to 2 dvds like the 'scene' release group did, but that'll involve a lot of knowledge/work.
