I've read the thread 'PIO mode for my slave primary IDE drive' and tried your solution but am still having a problem.

The sound on my slave drive is very bad. Stutters and sounds crappy. The transfer mode for Device 1 is set on P10 Mode even though DMA if available is highlighted. After going through your tutorial, it still remains in P10 mode.

Couple of questions:

Why don't I have a Secondary IDE Channel?

And how can I get Device 1 into DMA? Device 0 is in Ultra DMA Mode 2.
