manually editing out scenes from a dvd movie

Hi all,

I have searched the forums here for previously represented advice on apps to use to edit out scenes in dvds. I came to realize here that dvdshrink will do it fairly well, though it's not easy to work with if you want to delete multiple scenes from a movie. Furthermore, it won't pinpoint an edit down to a particular frame (accuracy of start and end point in scene deletion is only to within a half second). This works ok, but I'd prefer to edit it as such to where one would not be able to tell that a scene was removed in most-all cases.

What other apps do you folks recommend to edit out scenes from a movie (preferably free apps {money's tight}, but all recommendations would be greatly appreciated)? I just want to edit out a few annoying scences here and there from movies that I shrink.

Hi all,

I've tried videoReDo Plus, but have run into problems with trying to create a new ifo file for the edited .VOBs.....a problem which I've addressed in another thread here.

VobBlanker looks pretty complicated, but I'm researching into it.

Are there any other recommended apps?

Also, the VobBlanker tutorials on their website are difficult to understand. Does anyone know of a more comprehensive tutorial?
