i am trying to burn a copy of grandma's boy from an already burned copy. i have shrink, decrypter, AnyDVD and mydvd and nothing is working. it keeps telling me that the disc is protected. the last error i got is as follows:
copy protection key exchange failure-authentication failure
any suggestions are greatly appreciated
If it is a burned disk then there cant be a protection on it, did u try DVD Decrypter ISO/Read, then ISO/write to burn, u dont need AnyDVD running if it is a burned disk too. decrypter should work, as well as shrink.
now i can not do anything. i downloaded the new version of decrypter and all of a sudden i can't veen burn any discs. i had just got done burinning about ten movies and got to grandmas boy then started having problems. i downlaoded AnyDVD. i tried ripit4me and when i downloaded that it asked me to update my decrypter so i did. since i did that i can not burn a dvd now what could i have screwed up?
aer you using DVDFab Decrypter? if you are what version do you have? They have a beta version and it might be buggy...... uninstall and then reinstall the regular version.
http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm version 2.9.8.3 not the beta3 version. try that.
i don't have dvdfab. but no the disc is not scratched or cracked or anything. i don't understand what is wrond with it. i have tried ripit4forme i have tried AnyDVD and region&css free. i am juts not sure what is wrong with this disc
If your not trying to alter the contents of the DVD whu don't you just burn as backup or create an iso, then you don't even need to rip it to your HD. Do you know who burned the disc?
-Please anything but screaming!!, let's be rational now!! *sarcaam*... J/K
this is a copy of a copy.... there are no encryptions on it so it should copy directly using a transcoder or any other burning program without AnyDVD working in the background! This should be the easiest way to copy a DVD! Soooooo what's wrong here? If it's not the disk then it has to be the program! I would try reinstalling the program(s) and see if you have better results. ok...do you have Roxio and Nero on the same computer..... these programs clash and you will have problems burning! If you do have them then uninstall one and do a clean up. Which, by the way, when was the last time you cleaned the computer (registry cleanup, defrag, empty recycle bin, etc)? Your problems could be related to your computer not the disks..... so if you start off with the computer running better then all the much better for it!
Try opening the disc in shrink then go to back-up. Change the destionation to a folder on the hard drive. after it's on the hard drive, go to open files open the folder the movie is in and open it up. then go to back-up change the destionation to your burner. also change where back-up files go.
