Its not that we don't respect you it is that we don't respect newbies that are asking questions but act like they know it all

We also don't like noobs who continue to ask questions that are stickied, such as the devhook sticky that nobody seems to read.
Firmware - 1.0 > 1.5 > 2.0 > 2.5 > 2.6 > 1.5 > 2.6 > 1.5
I make my own signatures, isn't that an amazing and boring fact for me to put here? Don't PM me with an answer...well you could, give me something to talk about or you would probably be completely rude about the matter....just one more dot? ok ..... .

You shouldn't feel like you need to know something in order to post, just peeps should try reading (like you did) before starting new threads, because you can almost guarantee that their question has been answered before, and probably a fair few times.

I gotta say that I have joined many forums when I just got my psp. NONE of them have been as helpful and friendly as Afterdawn! This site is definately hands down THE BEST site for help on PSP's. I registered in June and can gladly say that I have never looked back!

i think the only reason i ever posted was to find out were to find the sticky (i think thats what you call it? lol) to solve my problem. i understand where you are coming from now people just get on and post without researching. One of the biggest problems i discovered was panic and impatients. I thought i would never figure it out it all seemed so hard. But when you get the hang of it its pretty straight forward. I still stumble regularly but at least i stay calm now and i will usually solve my problem.

Everyone stumbles now and again, you will see addicts and senior members asking for help now and then, but you know that when you do, we will have searched first. And you're right, most things are fairly straight forward.

Well everyone has to start somewhere.
I respect noobs, but when they ask questions that can be searched for and use unreadable "text" language. Gets me ticked off sometimes. Doesn't mean we have to bite there heads of though.
Arsenal! =D

Hey,
Welcome to aD buddy...people just get pissed off, cuz members/senior members and addicts come to these forums and see a line of topics like...Hope for TA-082? Ive got a new 2.8 d/grader spammers etc etc, if u notice the mods are banning more people everyday and the console forums are'nt in a very good position lol. Ok now to answer your Q.
Devhook 0.46 is a lil' faster and is more advanced and has cool mods and more people are releasing mods for it. The best part is that u can flash to ur chip to make it run faster which most of us don't do. Despite this many people are still on 0.45 because there isnt a worthy cause to upgrade.

It writes to the onboard NAND chip to make things run faster. But I believe it takes lots of time to do that

yea right the chip actually in your psp. sounds like a bricking caper to me. best stay well clear anyway. i got a fright when i downloaded a dax file that had some other stuff in with it i put it on my psp and tried to run it and it came up with somehting about flashing this that and the other experimental could seriously damage your console. Talk about freak out.

OK guys, this is why i am not fond of new members.
1. They dont read the forum rules, which they really should
2. This morning I seen 3 threads in the psp section asking for sigs, WHY?
3. You can figure the rest out for yourself
