I?ll summarize my dilemma in the first paragraph, and then go into more detail below:
Simply put, I have four edited/shortened .vob files from a dvd movie, with secondary audio tracks stripped out, as well {done automatically by the respective editing app....not by choice) that I would like to create a functional dvd with. Using the simple "Create Ifos" feature in IFOEdit is not successful, since the resulting new ifo only ends up identifying the first .vob file (even though it analyzes all four of them during the ifo creation process). Could you please show me a (hopefully fairly simple) way to get this movie to ultimately function as a dvd?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
More detailed info below:
I have edited out parts of a dvd movie (with the "VideoReDo Plus" app), which consists of four VOB files that are now each consequently a bit shorter than their original (1 gig?) size. All of my edits are seamless, and each of the four .vob files work fine while played *individually* in windvd.
Sorry....I know very little about ifo files. I have tried to use IFOEdit program to create a new ifo, and even followed its simple guide that I found ( http://ifoedit.com/createifo.html ). It analyzes all four .vob files, but only references/plays/sees the first .vob -- and treats it like it's the whole movie. For what the following info may be worth: I know that the VideoReDo Plus app only keeps one (presumably the default) audio track when it converts/creates the newly edited .vob files after my manual editing. When I look at the newly created .ifo file (from IFOEdit) in IFOEdit, it still represents the two secondary sound tracks even though there is no sound on those tracks anymore since the respective .vob files were edited.
I?d like for the dvd to have 15 or 20 chapters, but my main concern it just getting the movie to play on a dvd player at this point.
