Converting tv series to one file?

I have Season 2 of a show in AVI files on my PC I want to convert them to one file. I'm new to Avi2dvd, and I understand how to convert a AVI file to dvd but I want to try and put multiple files onto 1 file. If I can do this is the file going to be huge, it appears that just converting one file takes up 9GBs. I'm sure this has been posted before but I cant find it so if you dont want to answer but can maybe redirect me to where I might find this info your help would be greatly appreciated.
