i just bought a faulty graphics card off ebay(ati 9800xt 256mb agp). pcworld said that this card has been discontinued & i would like to fit an nvidia geforce 6600 256mn agp. how would i go about this? should i remove the old card, uninstall the drivers, then fit the new card & installl the drivers for this card? i would appreciate some help as i tried this, but when i go to control panel>display, the new card doesnt show up.. please help THAKS.........my specs: amd athlon 64 3000+ 2.0ghz, asrock k8upgrade vm800 socket 754, 256mb elixir ddr400 pc3200 ram, 250gb samsung sp2504c sata hdd. 1x faulty ati radeon 9800xt 256mb agp & 1x new nvidia geforce 6600 256mb agp gpu.. the faulty card was advertised as 400mhz core clock & 500mhz memory clock. but when i check the catalyst control panel, its only 378mhz core clock & 230mhx memory clock.. plaese help. cheers

Did you download the Nvidia drivers? If so, the install will recognize the the new card and install the drivers.

I'll take that old faulty card off your hands if you are looking to get rid of it.
