Okay. I've recently gotten some burned PS2 DVD games. They're on Sony DVD+R's that are Taiyo Yuden 8x, so they're on good media. I burned them with DVD Decrypter and ImgBurn at 4x but I was unable to booktype them as DVD-ROM for some reason. My DVD burner is an Lite-On LDW-811S. I tried updating the firmware of my DVD-Burner from the file on Lite-On's website but it says it can't update it because it isn't the right drive, which I don't understand. Anyways, when I try to load them on my PS2 using SwapMagic it says either that they're not PS2 games or it tries loading them and then just goes to a black screen as I hear the drive trying to load them but nothing is coming up. So, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas what I should try next.

The three games are Melty Blood: Act Cadenza, Battle Stadium D.O.N. and Naruto Narutimatt Hero 3. I have Swap Magic 3.6. It's not the actual downloads (unless it is for MB) because I burned them to horrible media before I knew about quality media and could get them to load, except they'd eventually freeze up from the media sucking.

EDIT: I just burned BSDON using Alcohol 120% and it took awhile, but it eventually loaded up. It's still skipping though, similar to what was happening with my HP DVD-R's from before.

Okay...I'm thinking it might have been my burn speed. I tried burning Melty Blood at 2.3x with Alcohol and so far it's working like a dream. I'll try burning Naruto later and see if it works better like that. Though I don't get why it won't let me update my firmware for my DVD burner or booktype it as a DVD-ROM or why it will work with Alcohol and not DVD Decrypter...

Try booting any problem games with CDLoader as an additional swap from http://www.swapmagicfix.com before reburning to another disc first. It could turn out you don't need to reburn.

Okay. I reburned Naruto 3 again using the exact same setup as my Melty Blood disc but with my firmware finally updated so I can do booktyping. I burned it at 2.4x on my 8x Sony DVD+R that are Taiyo Yuden. However, when I try to play it in my PS2, I'm still getting stuttering and the game freezes when you try to do certain moves. So I'm stuck trying to figure this out. I looked at CDLoader and it looks like Naruto 3 isn't in need of CDLoader, so I've really got no clue what to do next.
