I think it is dying on me :( it has a dark patch off centre on the screen, what should i do?

buy a new screen or send it back to sony and let them deal with it?

if u send it back 2 sony they will upgrade 2 2.80 or 2.71 i think so so ur best bet is leave it as it is (as u save money)or buy it off frm any good online shopping site or frm a local trusted retailer and replacing it u can c it in ipirate's guide of opening psp
if i were u i would buy a new screen and a new screen i think will cost 80$ nearly not sure of the cost

Well you can get an LCD for about 20 bucks on Ebay. Also i just bought a backlight on ebay for $12 yesterday so you can get those cheap too. And ipitates/tam2oo guide in the stickies.

but my firmware is 2.6 still :( i havent had chance to borrow GTa off my mate and havent seen an unpatched version for sale near me.

i may just leave it for now, it looks like 3 dead pixels to me. Its not that bad, just abit annoying having a random dark spot.

a random "dark spot" could be the backlight going out. which is like a ten dollar part.

thats what it looks like, its a bad quality pic as it my phone camera i used, you can see the dark patch under the line seperating the memory status and the title Memory Stick


also what websites can is there with PSP parts? preferably UK but US websites will do too

i had the same thing happen to my old psp some one must have pressed on the screen more then likely some pixels are stuck nothing to cry about lol not even enough to go buy a new screen if you ask me
