There's a huge thread about it over at Qj. Last time I saw it, it was actually filled with intelligent conversation and posts. Unfortunately QJ blocked the thread to anyone without a "Developer title". Normal users can't post in it, much less read it. It's invisible to everyone except developers.
Apparently alot of the PSP "Big Shots"(You know the names of them) are involved in the thread. The goal behind hiding the thread was blocking Sony from hearing about the exploit and possibly blocking it in 3.0. I think they're hoping to crack 2.7-2.8 using the new exploit and possibly still use it on the 3.0 firmware when it comes out.
Like I said though, I don't have access to the page anymore. So I don't know the current status of the project.

There is a point because QJ is hoping that Sony hasn't heard about the new "exploit" yet. That means that if this exploit turns out to be legit and actually works, we might be able to use it on 3.0 if Sony hasn't patched it, which they won't if they don't hear about the "exploit" to begin with. That's a dang good reason to hide the thread in my book.

I find it funny time and time again that a multi-billionaire company gets outsmarted by a bunch of people that hack the PSP for a hobby or are looking for a challenge.

5.repairing psp and upgrading to 2.80
6.patching up all the loose ends
but what r our feats
1.can run homebrews
2.downgrade 2 crush sony's clever move

True. Its pretty sweet how many people can break the walls of a little device wiht not much moving around. These guys pick out the littlest faults. Its not what everyone can do in time.
