need help with PAL game.......

First off i tried searching for an answer to this but wasn't sure if what i was finding was what i needed.

I recently downloaded and burned a PS2 game (first time ever). I burned using Imgburn 4x speed on an 8x Taiyo Yuden. As far as i can tell the game works but the horizontal is off - the picture scrolls up and down on the screen. My PS2 has a Matrix Infinity chip (from norcal) ver.139 though i'm unable to access the boot menu for some reason. Hope you guys can help me out.

are you using DVD-R or DVD+R.
if you are using +r you need to booktype.

Thanks for your reply Xander250, but that has nothing to do with his problem!

Your TV doesn't support PAL 50Hz signals, so you need to use a PAL2NTSC patcher to sort the signal out. Do a search for PAL2NTSC patcher with Y-Fix.
And there's loads of topics in this forum about this issue, so dunno how you couldn't of found at least one.

Thanks to the both of you. I saw posts on Yfix, but wasn't sure if that was the solution as i'm able to watch PAL DVDs with a simple remote hack. I use the fix, thanks for the info!
