how would i get the display from computer to tv?

i have a BFG geforce 6600GT OC and it has video out.

it came with a cable that connects to the video card, and on the other end it has the coloured video plug holes (yellow green blue and red) and a svideo plug.

the tv only has the yellow-white-red plugs
heres a picture of what im talking about.(took with webcam cuz i didnt wanna look for digicam. it should be clear enough)

that's the other end of the cable.

the yellow is labeled video
black=svideo
green=Y
blue=PB
red=PR

hope that's enough info for someone to figure it out =T

If you have S-Video on your TV you only need a S-Video cable. But, if your TV doesn't support S-Video you'll need the adapter(or*).
You can take the cable in the picture to your local electronics store, they'll give you what you need. Then it will run from the video card to the adapter to your TV.

*Or, you could just use a RCA connector with a S-Video converter. More cables but, does the same job. Hell, might even be cheaper.

The "yellow/white/red" cables is the RCA connector. They are right, it should work, unless it is locked(as mine is). It is stated in my laptop's manual that I will not be able to watch DVD's from this computer to a TV because it is copy protected for anti-recording purposes. I haven't tried to unlock it so, I don't know how to. But, I don't see why this would be a problem if you are not watching a DVD.

Go to your electronics store and ask them if they have a connector for the cable that was given to you.

Let me know...

EDIT: Make sure when you are plugged up to your TV that you switch displays through your videos card's properties.
