I just tried to burn my first game (Naruto Narutimett Hero 3) and it's not working. I don't even get a 'Please insert a Playstation 1/2 Disk', it just goes to the system browser. The only thing I think I could be doing wrong is using DVD-RW. So does the PS2 let you play games on DVD Rewritables?

Using RW is the fastest way to burn your laser out. Get some good media (I use Sony 16x DVD+R booktyped to DVD-ROM) and see what happens.

I managed to find a DVD-R lying around :). I'm currently burning a new DVD. I just have one question. What do you mean when you say 'bookmarked as a DVD'? I didn't do this, I just went into the image burning wizard (This is on Alcahol 120%). Will this stop my disc from working?

I just burned a DVD-R and it the same thing happens. Is it something to do with me not 'booktyping'?

You can only booktype DVD+R. What booktyping does is instead of DVD+R it says DVD-ROM which is the most compatiable format for ps2.

Also, what method are you using to try and boot this game?

I have a modchip installed in my PS2, not sure which modchip it is though. I burned the game onto a Panasonic DVD.

Also I've been burning it at 4X, which is the DVD's max speed.

Sorry for the triple post. Now I've burned another DVD-RW (I just want to see if I can burn the game sucessfuly, I don't care about the stress on the laser). But it still won't work, this time I set burned it at 2X (Half of the max speed). Please help me. I really want to play NNH3 :(.

Huh didnt know u used DVD-RW =/ dont use DVD-RW they can really destory ur Laser....buy some good DVD-Rs like Maxell

I'm getting really annoyed now :( I did something which created a MDS and a MDS file, then burned it just like the tutorial. But it wouldn't load. It just goes to the system browser. Do you think it's the media I'm using?
