I use the xp built in software for copying data files onto a cd-rw disc. It will work for awhile but then all of a sudden when I try to copy over some more files the cd-rw disc reads full. I only have around 60 mb's on the disc so why would it read that it's full? I have to erase the disc in order to add more data files onto it. Does anyone know what could be causing this to happen?

yes when you write files to the cd it puts the files onto the cd then closes the disk if you like. A cd is not like a memory stick you can't just open and edit it like you would like to. And the reason you can change it once you have erased the files is because it goes back to its normal blank state which means you can burn files again but it will close the disk again. Just make sure that when you burn the files you burn all that you want :) or just get a memory stick you chose :)

If its a CD-RW you should just be able to wipe it and start the disc again i believe? You can do that Nero...Make sure its set up as a "multi session disc" if you want to be able to burn on to it again
