My Resolution problem (Only X) - Nvidia GFX card

hi, well i have problem my screen's x-horizontal is nor right, its very compressed and i have 19" monitor.

My gfx card is: GeForce 4 MX 4000
Monitor: Acer AL1916WS 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor
My current resolution is on: 1440x900 and i have tried various and higher res.

Trust me i spend 2 solid days trying solve this issue, before my PC crashed, it was all good! After we re-installed Windows XP and formatted hard-drive and got slave 160GB HD, nothing else was changed i nmy PC. I have tried about 6 diffrent drives from nvidia site and I contacted Nvidia support they advised me to use the cd cames with gfx card which i did and the same result.

Any help advice would be apriciated, thx
