Moviemake to nero DVD

Okay so im completely lost. Im usually pretty good with computers, not this time.

I made a movie on moviemaker of pictures, songs, videos. I saved it as a AVI file as i was told.

I download Nero 7 (trial verison) and i wanted to put it on DVD +R.
However it doesnt work. I did it once using the option DVD ROM (ISO) however it failed.

So then i read to use DVD VIDEO however when i try to improt the video it says it wont work cause it greater then 2GB because ISO doesnt support the files. It says to use a UDF file system for such big files. the file is 3.05GB.

Can anyone please tell me the EASIEST way to burn the moviemake file to a DVD. As much detail as possible would be great!

If this is the case you would have to burn the file as data then have a DivX compatible standalone player. To convert to dvd compliant files you will need to use Nero vision express then Nero recode (if the converted files are bigger than 4.4 gb (recode compresses the files down to fit the standard 4.7 gb dvd once you set the target output to about 4300mb).

honselty im so sorry. But i dont understand what that means. Is there an easier way?

Maybe I should save the moviemaker file as something else rather then AVI.

or another program that will make recording the DVD much easier?

There is a program with a trial period you can try http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/v... It converts your saved AVI file into dvd format.

Okay cool,

So i download the trial verison (but its gonna have a watermark in it) what do i do next?

Hi,

Yes the trial version will have the watermark (if you like the program and choose to purchase it will not appear). VSO convertxtodvd has its own burn engine so you can choose to burn to dvd when finished. If the file is too big after conversion you can download a freeware program called DVD Shrink which will compress the file enough to fit on a blankdvd http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_... ( I suggest going into the setings and setting output to 4300mb). See the 1st link in my signature on how to use DVD Shrink.
