This is what the problem is. I am having a hard time decrypting this DVD. I don't think it is copyrighted. Here is the picture, I hope you guys could help me out. I am using the lastest DVD Decrypter.
Jinkazuya ,
Welcome to the forum. The images were really small but it looked like you got a CRC error. This is usually caused by scratches, bad mastering press, etc or by the newer encryptions. Since DVDDecrypter has not been updated in about 1 year I would use either DVDFAB Decrypter ( free) or Riptit4me ( free) to rip the disk to HD. If it happens again then the disk you are copying has a bad spot on it and needs to be exchanged for a better copy. Even if it is not copyrighted it can still have bad errors on the disk and that is why you get that error
Ripit4me helps eliminate all the protected cells and codes, which means that even those DVD with region or codes or cells protected, with Ripit4me, you could get rid of all these copyrighted things. However, I tried to use it. But it doesn't really work. I got the last file that was unable to be extracted. It just kept saying cylinder reductant check something like that, and just pop up the bar with all the damn number code ranging from 00 to 09 and so forth.
Is there any DVD Decrypter that helps eliminate all the protected and copyrighted things and it also serve the function of eliminating all the scratches or spots on the disc? That's to say, even the disc has all the scratches and spots, it still let you be able to rip the disc.
Jinkazuya,
You could try the other ripper I suggested but the error you got is telling you the disk you are trying to copy has a bad spot at the point it gets the error. Try telling DVDDec. to ignore the read error and see if it will then just forget that error, If it can skip that error area then remember you will be missing that info that is there. Try cleaning the DVD real good before you try this as cleaning might also help w/ the read.
1) No impossible. I have tried that several times, but it didn't work. The damn thing just keeps popping up.
2) To tell you the truth. I am still a learner. Home movie is easy to burn. However, there are two types of DVD I really hate to try my hand on. First are those DVD rented from Hollywood. They are all code-protected. Therefore, even if you can decode or decrypt and then burn it, you will just hear the sound, no pictures or you will see some blurry blind and dark images. Another type of DVD are made in Tiseng, which is the HongKong home videos, named TVB. They are not completely code-protected, but some of the files are. The original DVD has all the subs such as subtitle selection, trailers, and the intro of the movie. The one right now I am trying to burn is TVB DVD. I have 90% of success rate of burning. However, after I finished burning the damn DVD, I got no title selection, language selection, trailers and so forth to let you choose. As u know, I burn this with DVDDec. My question is how the heck I can include all these title selection thing for the DVD I burn or before I burn.
Is there any DVD Decrypter that could help read or decrypt thos DVDs even with scratches or bad spot on the surface of the disc?
Jinkazuya,
No. The computer reading of the DVD is not as forgiving of errors as the DVD-Rom or DVD Player is. This is why you are getting that error.
I think the bad images you are getting on the Hollywood movies is you need to tell the ripper to "Remove Macrovision protection". In DVDD it is under Tools> Settings> General. I have no problems w/ any Hollywood movie. Now DVDD can not do the newer movies as it has not been updated nor will it ever again be updated. This is why you need to have another way to rip the DVD to HD
