there is a way to convert your FAT32 file system into NTFS in DOS. its a little tricky to do if you are not used to the ol black screen. it is highly recomended you back up your files before you attempt the conversion. if you really want to convert to ntfs, HIGHLY recommended,reply,and i will walk you through the steps.
This is method is for XP, and i forgot you had ME or 2000, but hopefully this will steer you in the right direction. MAKE SURE you back up any critical files just in case there is a power failure or some fluke like that during a conversion
To convert a volume to NTFS from the command prompt
Open the Command Prompt window.
In the command prompt window, type
convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs
For example, typing convert D: /fs:ntfs would format drive D: with the ntfs format.
To open a command prompt, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
You can convert FAT or FAT32 volumes to NTFS with this command.
Since you have to convert C drive, it will ask you 3 questions. I forgot the 3 questions, but answer the obvious, For example, windows needs to acess these files but cannot because it is using these important files. Do you wish to convert when restarted? type Y for YES,
Then 2 more questions. Like i said, i forgot the other questions, but if you want to convert to NTFS you then can break the 4gb barrier and use programs like Nero or shrink to allow you to make files greater than 4gb.
you can burn with fat32 and make whatever, but you wont be able to make a single file, like a 4gb ISO, with fat32. NTFS lets you break the barrier, this process might or might not work with ME, but if it does work...you will be VERY happy
