I tried to download a psp torrent to my computer and my comp got all screwed up I got it fixed by a best buy geek squad guy or somthing and he says Bittorent screws up your computer is this true

the actual torrent doesnt contain viruses but the file downloaded could. theyre pretty virus free for the most part. however p2p programs like limewire and bearshare are littered with viruses.
