I have been using Nero vision to burn avi's to DVD-R but i have a few files that are too big or something, so i get the error:

"Your project currently exceeds some size limits of the destination disc type.
Do you want to have the project quality reduced automatically so that your project will fit into the available space?"

so i click yes and every time it has put it on long play 3382 kbps.

but i see there is also a custom option in the quality settings and if i choose this i can select my own bit rate. if i do this i can get the blue bar as close to the line as possible (i hope you know what i mean by this) but if i choose long play the blue bar is usually way off the line where the limit is. so i guess my question is, are there any problems with selecting my own bit rate with the custom option? because it looks like i can get much better quality than long play while still reducing the quality to fit on disc.
i would just give it a try but i don't want to waste a disk so i thought i'd just ask here if there are any issues with selecting some random bit rate to make the AVI fit nicely.
