I am trying to upgrade my operating system to tiger and I dont have a dvd player for the dvd version of this. I know theres a cd version but I have the dvd iso saved on my mac. Is there a way to boot this iso as a startup item so the dvd is not needed? Because when i open the iso it says restart mac to begin upgrade but since it the iso its not going to boot it while starting up.

ok you do not understand he doesn't have a legal version of tiger just a iso

so my question is do you have a firewire cable and another macintosh

if so you can install the mac os x dvd on the mac using a firewire cable also my other question before you begin is

WHAT TYPE OF MAC DO YOU HAVE

this is important because not all macs can run os x
