Hello, This is my first post and maybe this is already done, but, I have been trying to figure out how to burn GOW to DVD5 so it will work with my swap magic (V3 plus) and I tried all the ways I could find and they all froze or didn't work at all, But I think I may have found an easy way that works, (although I havn't gotten very far yet, and it may just be luck, so don't bite my head off if it doesn't work for you).
1. Rip the ISO with DVD Decrypter to your computer.
2. Download Gnie Expert - http://www.alucard.cc/ps2/ExPERT_v1.03.rar And Toxic Patcher - http://forums.psxforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=27443 3. Patch the ISO with Toxic Patcher
4. Open Gnie Expert and under plugins select shrinker_ps2_psp_cddvd5_iso.epi
5. Open the ISO
6. Click Extract LBA
7. Click Extract Files, This will take a little time
8. Click Rebuild files, this will also take some time
9. CLick rebuild LBA ( Steps 6,7,8,9 MUST be done in that order)
10. Look in the folder you have your original ISO and a new one should be there, (Should be named the same as the original with NEW added to it)
11. Burn your new ISO with DVD Decrypter
If you want to backup God of War to a DVD5 that way wont work because the game has a lot of extras that make the game bigger than a normal game and there is a much longer and more complicated process to shrink it down. The easier way is to download god of war DVD5 torrent and burn to DVDR.
I've already burned the game with my method and it works fine. It turns out to be about 4gb. I've tried the more complicated way and it didn't work. Also, I live in the outskirts of a small town and don't have high speed so downloading GOW as a DVD5 is close to impossible.
