I have a HP dv130us notebook and when I try to burn a DVD-R this error comes out:

Sense: 03 ASC: 0C ASCQ: 00 (Command 00)

I am really worried since I have read multiple forums where this problem is discussed and the last solution they found is to replace the DVD recorder which is generally under warranty.
My problem is not the warranty. My problem is that I am outside USA and to receive a new replacement I must send the notebook to northamerica...
I have chatted with HP and the indicated me to uninstall DVD drivers, burning software, to delete different registries and to reboot the machine almost 10 times and nothing happened... HP really do NOT know how to arrange it...
As far as I can imagine this problem has to be resolved without changing the hardware, don't u think so?
Anyway, can anyone help me please with this burning/firmware/IDE channel or whatever problem is???
