u cant use ripkits on cso files tho. they have to be an iso file then use the ripkit. the compress it. or u can remove the dummy data and then compress the iso file. in most games there is quite a bit of dummy fdata that does absolutely nothing. its there just to take up empty space.

compressing along with ripkits and removing dummy data is the smallest they can go.
1.) ripkits take out files like music and movies, cutscenes and whatnot to achieve the smallest iso file size.
2.)you can get ripkits from sites like http://www.urpsp.com. You have to a member of ps2nfo.com for it to work. You can also google "psp ripkits" or "gamename ripkit".
3.)The instructions with ripkits vary some are copy and paste, some are ran by an .exe file, and some are applied with a program called patch-o-matic (im pretty sure thats the name). If you do get a riupkit and need help u can always start a thread and I or someone else will be happy to assist you :).
4.)To get rid of dummy data I believe u can use UMD GEN (newest version) to take it out. I, however prefer the manual way. Heres a short tutorial. You take the untouched iso file and extract the contents with WinRAR. You then rebuild the iso with UMD GEN or Vcdromx 3.6. It's not that hard.
5.)If you are removing dummy data, using ripkits, or anything else compressing the iso file is the last step in the process.
I also never seen ur other thread but ill look for it. hope that helps.

@npdyna
thanx for the props dude. i love to hear stuff like that. :) it people like you that keep me coming back to aD. You make it more enjoyable here.

Ripkits usually take out music, cutscenes, movies, and the updates. Concerning dummy data all games have it or atleast I havent run acrossed one that doesnt have it. Some will have as much as 600 MB's of dummy data.

most untouched iso's are fairly big. thats why there is the option of ripkits, and taking out dummy data. then compressing it. to take out dummy data extract the contents of the iso with WinRAR then rebuild it with UMD GEN. simple as that.

i dont have a link i suggest you use google. as for taking out dummy data (this doesnt always work mind you becuz it could already be taken out) right click the iso and hit extract here or extract to. then rebuild the iso with umdgen.

yeah thats exactly what i meant by extracting the contents of the iso.
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/689
drap and drop the PSP_GAME and UMD_DATA.bin to the main screen of umd gen and rebuild the iso.
