I have been trying to book type DVD+R but when it finished burning, The Disc is still DVD+R as booktype. I used firmware hack and set booktype to DVD-ROM for DVD+R but after burning, no matter what the disc is still as it was. I have tried Alcohol, DVD Decrypter, IMG Burn... Option set booktype was already set

ahh, only Alcohol works. DVD Decrypter won't booktype. I have a NEC and when i go into the booktyping option. it says UNKNOWN(Failed)

depends on your drive. NEC dont work with DVD Decrypter, but my lite-on works fine. i booktyped several DVD+R to roms. What type of burner do you have? also, you could always just get dvd-r's instead. what media are you using?

Verbatim 16x. NEC 1100A but i flashed it to 1300A and it enables the read/write function for DVD-Rs but can't booktype DVD-R.

ya the only media that can book type is DVD+R and ur burner also has to have the capability to book tyoe as well like my HP DVD-+RW drive cant not book type while my Sony DVD-+RW drive can
