First of all download games only that you own and that's due to damage games that are unreadable and making them backups, no piracy is allowed here. As for modding your ps2 you can do it. There two ways modchip that you might have a pro install that for you, the other is swapmagic I assume you have a slim ps2 so you can also use tape and tissue method and installing a hardrive is difficult(I have read) but you can do it and you would need hdloader for that which is something like swapmagic. If you don't know what they are, they are disc that you can buy and you have to use that you can't dl them and expect to play them like that cause they won't work at all. Don't know much about the slim ps2 but I'm sure some one else will correct me if I'm wrong. If you have any more ?'s just post.

You will need swap magic then. Get version 3.6 and good flip top case. And, with swap magic, you will need to rebuild GT4 to get it to fit on a DVD5 disc as swap magic can't read a disc above 4.37GB. There are stickies on this. Just read.

Well if it's a fat ps2 and you don't want to open it...
Swapmagic and a Slide card would be the way to go...
If you want to have a Hard Drive in it you need a network adapter and compatible hard drive..
A Memory Card Exploit to run HD Loader and you'll still need Swapmagic in order to install the exploit...

Yes you will have to buy and I would sugest getting the fliptop case but you will have to open it and it very easy to install. If you decide to go with harddrive which will also good easy and will take off the stress of your laser.

Have you tried a device called The Disk Dr.? It removes scratches for damaged cds/dvds. Well, it really doesn't remove them...more like fills them in. But I have fixed a number of my games with it that my 5 year old has beaten up. They all work fine now. I did back them up in case he decides to use them as frisbees....hehe.

Hey, could anyone tell me the best place to read the basic methodology of either the flip top, copy backups, or putting on hard drive; so I'll know which road to take. thanks for the trouble
