I know Nero 6 has problems burning layer breaks, so my question is this, is the layer break issue soley in the recording process so that I could create a DL movie in NVE, burn to my HDD and let IMG Burn do the actual burn, or does the problem lie in the encoding process?
The encoding process (which creates the IFO's) is where the layer break information is created. The layer break is within the IFO.
ImgBurn's latest version will create ISO format files. If you go to burn an ISO (using it) and the layer break information isn't present, it will ask you where to place the break (with suggestions). I'd try it that way.
I'm sorry I am not quite following you...I understand the layer breaks is in the IFOs, but are you saying I can convert to DVD w/ Nero 6, then create an ISO of the DVD files. and will be able to write hey layer break properley this way?
Yes. In fact, I just did one last night. When you create the ISO, it asks you where to place the layer break information. Just try it, you'll get the hang of it in no-time.
