swap magic 3.8 -- no full screen on dvd backups

Hi
I've been using swap magic 3.8 to play backups of dvd games on my slim ps2 , however the game only fills two thirds of the screen . I've played the same backups on a friends old style ps2 using a slide tool and latest version of swap magic and they play full screen with no problem .
Can someone tell me if I'm doing something wrong or are there any other suggestions.

Do originals play like that also? If so, check the config on your ps2.

Hi
No originals play fine , just a problem with the backups , like I say they are fine when my friend uses them on his ps2 . Am i missing something when I load swap magic is there some setting I should change , I already configured the ps2 to full screen.
