i just ordered a g6 lite. I plan on playing homebrews but mainly i want it to save money from buying all these new ds games comming out. I just want to know that when a new game such as zelda or ff3 comes out, will they have a rom for it and will i be able to play it. If so what website will have it. I know this is illegal to ask at websites like in gamefaqs so i asked here. Also when i get my g6 lite will i have to update anything or can i use it right off the bat. How would i go about updating it anyways

ok crap i just read the forum real and found out it is illegal to ask for roms. If its not illegal to pm it to me could someone kindly, or message me on a.i.m at pairenoid

You can get ROMs from sites such as dgemu.com or from torrent sites - i won't go into detail.

As for updating the G6, you will need to to run FFIII so I will explain how.

Download the update files from http://www.dualscene.net make sure you get the right language (chinese or english) you cannot install one language to another.

Put the two update files in the root of your G6, plug your G6 into your DS and turn on your DS, loading th G6 in GBA mode or in DS mode then press Y to go to GBA mode you can only do this while loading GBA mode.

When loading GBA mode you will see green text saying something like "not sponsered or endorsed by nintendo" while this is on screen hold down Start+Select+A+B you should now be asked if you want to update, choose yes with the cursor.

Now wait, and when complete shut off your DS and turn it back on in DS mode to your updated G6.

You will also want to download and install the latest U-Disk manager for the G6 to ensure maximum compatibility.
