Hi

Like it seems so many others in the forum (I came via google) I've got a Nero Illegal disk issue.

I'm trying to create a DVD-video and have the latest version of firmware for my NEC ND 6500A (Dell Precision Laptop) v2.03d and the latest version of Nero

I've tried Memorex DVD-R and a brand by the name of BEST. Nothing seems to fix the problem. Attached is my log (using BEST) and I wondered if anyone had any ideas?

I cant say too much about this latest version, but the error logs are coming in already.

I dont recognize these discs, try Verbatim or Sony (made in japan)

Your firmware is current, DMA is on , burn speed OK....so I am leaning to this version of Nero being like the previous versions, "buggy"

BTW, memorex are HORRIBLE discs, avoid their use.

Well, I can confirm that Verbatim discs did the trick. DVD video burnt with no problems. Thanks for the help!

hehe.

Having read a few threads with a similar suggestion (and shrugging it off as a waste of time) I was at my wits end after my posting here so I went to the nearest shop to buy them)
