Ok when browsing the net and scrolling down pages with the jog wheel the pages freeze and i get little multicolour dots all over sometimes it work after a while and sometimes the monitor goes of and i get input not supported floating round the screen.

First i used to get the blue screen of death say device stuck in contiuos loop please check driver. This has only happened once so i went back to an old set of driver i knew to be stable on my pc but still no good.(diver 84.21)

I have gone back to an older stable forceware to try and fix this but have had no luck

What Windows version are you using? I had Win 98 on an older setup that gave a BSOD every so often. Win 98 was somewhat unreliable and got corrupted. Every 6 months to a year I had to reinstall the OS (over itself) to cure the assorted crashing and lockup problems. Win XP has not done this to me and has been much more stable.

I have an nVidia card and I think the latest SIGNED drivers are 84.56, although there could be newer ones available. Don't use the (unsigned) Beta drivers as they are not as reliable. I tried using Beta drivers while playing Tomb Raider Legend and found that some controls would not work correctly (or at all).

Be sure to have any virus software turned off while installing new drivers.

While you are speaking of scrolling down pages using the mouse wheel don't press the wheel too hard. Pressing the wheel versus rolling it can cause strange things to happen when moving through the pages. Take a look. Press the wheel try to move normally. See. Press the wheel again to end the effect.

Forgot to mention - be sure to unistall the old drivers before installing the new ones. Obvious, but needs to be said (I tried it once - didn't work).

Check that the card isn't getting too hot using a temperature monitor.
