I never burned a data CD so thought I'd ask first. There are a couple of free programs I want to download off of the net and put on CD. I don't need them yet, but would like to have them. Should I download them, saving to the hard drive, then burn them on the CD with Nero. Later when I want to install them, just do so fromt he CD, right? Sounds to me like the obvious, but thought I'd ask.

Thanks!!

If you have the space on your HD you could keep them there. Moving them to a CD helps save HD space, and you can install from the CD like you said. Its up to you. Either method works fine. I tend to use CDs for music, any data i want to store, i use a DVD for that as it holds more programs than a CD. Cds are cheaper, and best to use for small programs less than 800MB in size.

The cat used to be animated, and it was blazing away with the AK. The size of that animated gif was too big for my sig line, so i had to use a still.
Let me see if i can show the animated one here:

Get those CMCs kitty!

MaxBurn-

Why didn't you re-size it? Of course sometimes it doesn't look as good as it originally did! You can see that from my sig!

@syxguns
I've never been able to resize an animated Gif and have it work. Maybe because i use windows paint program for the resizing.
The animated Gif is 200kb in size which is double what is allowed for a sig pic. So i would have to loose 100kb. I guess i never really tried too hard to fix it. The still pic works fine. Thanks for the suggestion.
