I have a second hand laptop that the previous user had TMPGEnc plus 2.5 on it. When I open it, there is a serial number, so I'm going to imagine it is registered.
When I try to use do encode to DVD, I get audio, but a blackscreen. I've tried everything I know, but nothing.
I downloaded the trial version thinking maybe the previous guy's program was just a trial or unregistered and therefore didn't work. I had the exact same problems (forgot to mention that some options couldn't be changed in the program).
I also downloaded the trial of TMPGEnc express - absolutely fine, no problems.
Since I am using the same settings for all three programs, but only one works could it be that the guy didn't register the original (but why the serial number?)so it doesn't work and somehow did something to affect the trial I downloaded?
I'd rather use the original than the express, but if it doesn't work for me and I can't try it, I'm not going to pay for it and run a risk. Could I maybe uninstall everything, and try it again? or go to a internet cafe and download it to an external and then try installing it again on my laptop? I'd really llike to try this program out because I hear such good stuff about it CCE is a bit too pricey for me, thanks!
(forgot to mention, one of the things the TMPEG plus tells me is that I don't have dvd software on my system, no other program has told me that, not even the express.)?????
