I just upgraded from 2-250MB RAM sticks to 1-1GB Ram stick and 1-250 MB RAM Stick. Yet my encode times are the same in NVE. Is this normal?

I dont know a lot about this but I thought that BOTH sticks of RAM had to be the same size, eg 2x 512 or 2x 1024 or as you had previously, 2x256.
Right click on My Computer, Properties and see what is showing as your RAM total.

1.25 GB of RAM, plus I confirmed in in Task Manager before i made the thread.

For the sake of explanation it did not recognize it on the first boot. So I did some research and yes from what I read it said both stick needed to be the same...so I was going to remove the 250, but I realized the G Skill 1GB stick was not all the way in place. Then it worked fine after that. I am not sure of my mother board but CPU Z says my mainboard Dell OTC 699, and it runs a Pentium 4 HT if that helps...

Still it seems as though this would decrease the decode times in Nero Vision, but it did not seem to do that.
