The luck must be with me. I bought a PSP Giga pack recently, which is model WS259 (correct motherboard) and firmware 2.5. Also, (a tip for all) I popped into a local Cash Converters today and bought an unpatched GTA for a Tenner!!!
Now I want to downgrade my PSP but have a few final questions before I take the plunge.
Questions:-
1. I've downloaded Easy Downgrader (file http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/605), is this all I need or do I need the DOWNDATER Folder? There seemed to be some confusion on one of the posts I read.
2. Which version of DevHook do I need to emulate 2.71? Please can you link installation, running and loading ISO guide for the recommended version.
3. In 2.71 emulated mode, can I run original UMDs?
4. My favorite game at the moment is Socom and own the original UMD. I would love to play this online. Can I do this with Emulated mode? Is there anyway Sony can detect I'm emulated?
5. Can I store more then 1 ISO on a memory stick?
Please be patient if you think these are simple questions. I have spent over 5 hours reading the guides and my head is a bit confused!
the easy downgrader does it all for you, you can go online, play umd's in 2.71, you can have more than one iso on a memory stick and sony cant tell Sh!t lol
1.)The version you downloaded includes the downdater folder and every other file necessary for the downgrade to go through smoothly. In conjuction with the easy downgrader you will also need an unpatched version of GTA:LCS.
2.)Use devhook .45, or .46 to emulate 2.71.
3.)While devhook is emulating the firmware you can run UMDS that require up to version 2.71 to play.
4.)Yes u can play online with devhook. No sony cant tell.
5.)Yes you can store as many ISO files as you want on your memory stick as long as there is enough remaining space.
