Hi,
I transferred a VHS tape to DVD+R using my vcr and stand-alone deck. I then loaded it into Nero Vision Express so that I could edit the dvd and make nicer menus, chapters, etc...

However, when I finally burned the project onto DVDR and played it back on my dvd player, the sound was much lower than the original DVDR and vhs source. It did read as "Dolby Digital" on my system.

This is actually not the first time this has happened with a Nero project. I previously did a DVDR trade with someone and they told me that the specific dvd that i made with Nero had very low volume.

Is there a way to recopy the dvd and fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks

Hello.

In NeroVision Express, in edit mode for the title, select the storyboard mode (the 5 small squares icon) for the title. Next, right click on the large bloack representing the title and select Properties. In the properties window will be a volume slider.

Thanks very much for the info...Is there a way to do this without losing my original menus, chapters, etc.. ? It seems that i have to remake the menus and chapters when going into VisionExpress. All I really want to do is raise the volume level.

Did you save the project when prompted? If so, just reload the project and make the changes. Otherwise, you have to redo and re-encode.

You're welcome. You won't really lose too much time unless you had fancy custom menus since the project would require re-encoding in any event for the sound changes as the sound is muxed with the video during encoding.
