I have a Canon ZR65 Camcorder, and XP, home edition. I have been trying, with little success, to capture the video from the camcorder to my HD, using Vision Express. This is a short (15 min.) video, and it shows frames dropped, the video that is captured skips and seems to be in slow motion at times, and the audio is garbled and static at times. I am not trying to do anything fancy - all I want is to get the video from the camcorder to the HD and then burn to a CD - no editiing, no extras, just the basics.

I have tried different options in selecting a capturing template - DV, which is the first, and seems to be default, DVD, as i do want to burn to a DVD eventually, and custom, with a selected file tpye of AVI, as I was told to do that by somebody who was trying to help, but it realated to a different program. No matter what I do I am not getting a good capture. Any suggestions and/or advice appreciate.

Please bear in mind I am a very senior grandmother, and need baby steps!
Thanks
