HELP I NEEED HELP........I TRIED DOWNGRADING MY PSP WHICH IS 2.0 AND IT DOESNT WORK....... i got everything i needed from psp-hacks.com and used their guide but it doesnt work......has it got anything for the fact i can play iso games on 2.0 already with fastloader......? Yes i have put all the files in the correct place......has it got anything to do with the fact that , index dat file isnt window media player file , like it is on the photos of the downgrader help bit......?
someone help......as when ive downgraded it i can downgrade my brother's psp which is 2.71........if i can't i'll screw the idea.....find someone esle with 1.5 psp.......

why dont you jusst upgrade 2 2.71 then downgrade 2 1.5

are u sure someone didnt take a version changer to ur psp because you can only load isos on firmware 1.5. for the 2.0 downgrader you copy all the file to the root of your memstick. try to view the photo and ur psp will crash with some white jibberish on the screen. if it doesnt show and just freezes keep running it. double check by looking at the version number. when the downgrader works it will say 1.00. its not actually a 1.00 it just says that thus allowing you to run the 1.5. eboot.

there is way less of a risk of getting a brick when downgrading a 2.0.

no you need the 2.0 tiff explot photo, then view the photo and the psp will crash etc

yup i have that and it doesnt dectect aanything or pick it up.....o well it doesnt matter.....i'll stay with 2.0 ....dont wanna brick my psp

make sure it goes into the photo folder. you might have to run it more then once before it will actually work. there is like 2 percent chance you will brick your psp with that downgrader also. if the percent is even that high.

it does work i have done this well over 15 different times. download this to make sure you have the right one.

keep running it until you see white numbers and letters on the screen. double check the version and see if it says 1.0. if it does u can then run the 1.5 eboot.

nah u can put the 1.5 eboot on after. but i usually have it there anyway. does ur psp have the web browser? next time use the edit button also. double posting is looked down upon here.

ermmm no it doesnt....unless u go on settings and down to network thingy.......Well kinda screwed up now as i deleted all my movies , fastloader on my psp and i doesnt work....has it got anything to do with that fact that the index dat isnt a windows media player file? arghhh sooo wanna downgrade it ....maybe it doesnt work with my psp.....*sighs*

and btw thier is a .0001 % chance you will brick your PSP with the 2.0 downgrader, Since it doesnt actually flash your psp but runs the 1.5 update .

yes it does flash the psp. but only one file. it flashes the index.dat file making it say its a psp firmware 1.00 and that allows you to run the 1.5 eboot.

here you go.....first steps....download all the downgrader stuff off www.psphacks.com
next i follow the instructions...... here are the screen shots of what i did
1...moved the index dat file and h. bin file in the psp memory front bit

2.Then moved the photo tiff.overflow file to the psp photo directory

3.After went to the psp games directory and made a new folder called UPDATE

4.Then in the UPDATE folder i put the ebbot file

5. disconnected the psp from the usb....pluged it into my battery charger

make sure ur psp fw is 2.0 and then run formatt ur memstick b4 putting the downgrader in it and download the downgrader frm http://www.psp-hacks.com/download.php?id=3 and then after inseting the mem stick in ur psp reboot the psp and the run the downgrader these are few xtra measures hope that helps

My friend had the same problem. He had to end up using the 2.71 downgrader to get 1.5

i dont understand what is the problem with this. ok try this put the sony mem stick in ur digicam and capture a photo and some new folders will b formed i dont know exactly like DCIM/MSDF somethin like this put ur photos in MSDF the folder u obtain after DCIM and then i think ur psp will read the photo and which fw was ur psp when u bought it
