Hi everyone I just bought my psp and was searching the net for info on it and found that you can download games and now that I have read alittle about it I was wondering what is the upside's and Downside's to Downgrading to Firmware Version 1.5 from my current 2.8 will I loose anything and can you tell me some of the best places to download games and what are the must haves for software I already have PSP Media Manager, thanx PLZ help lol

well you cant downgrade a 2.8 sadly, but there is a downgrader in the making, 1.5 in one word is elite to all other firmwares as it can run iso backups etc, and dont worry about losing higher firmware features like web browser etc as it .5 you can run the higher firmwares with devhook ( game backup loader) and stil have full functionally of the 2.71 features then when your done you can go back to 1.5

well that differs depending on the user, mine would have to be devhook(obviously) irshell(fileassistant remote control), umddaxdumper(makes copies of umd's), and dgen(lets you play sega games :)

trust us, when/if a 2.80 downgrader is released you will definatley want to downgrade :)

yeah but will those programs work with my psp since I can't downgrade yet and what do they do?

no they wont work currently on your psp , youll have to wait for a downgrader :)

like many said. If you have ever expeirenced 1.5 you will never go back (at least not purposely)

they probably workin on a 2.8 downgrader.they are already at 2.71 and people said to me when i had 2.6 that they wouldnt com out with a downgrader.but dont worry,they will com out with one soon.and 1.5 is amazing u can do everyhting on it,except go on the internet.

you can use devhook for the browser, and theres homebrew browsers anyway. :P theres no negatives to using 1.50 whatsoever

ok question? I am using the "Sony PSP Media Manager" to transfer and convert everything to my PSP from my PC is the a better program that I should use ? I prefer one that does everything (Video/Music/Pics/ect..) but if you have any suggestions I will take them reguardless

my suggestion would be to use video converter for videos seperately i think its the best
