ok im new to this website....i have searched it but havent really fount what i needed....i have questions about playing the back up games....i have the slim ps2..and i wanted to know if i can just use game shark or action replay by its self to play the back up game? or do i need a chip? and if so were is the cheapest place were i can get a swap magic or what ever i need?

No. You'll need a chip or Swap Magic with a swap method such as modified fliptop, or Magic Keys.
Use Google to find cheap retailers.
