This is not really going to help you, but I have a horror story about the PSC 1510 too.

Apparently, there was a malfunction with the ink cartridges, so I sent it back to HP. They sent me a completely DIFFERENT printer, which pissed me off. I told them to send me the same one back. They did--and it had the same problem. So here I am waiting for the printer--again.

I love the printer--it is really nice, in my opinion, but because of all the pain I've gone to to get a replacement...(you fill in the rest).

From what I heard, The PSC 1510 has a bit of an issue recognising paper, so make sure there's plenty of paper in there and giveit a hearty shove. It seems like a bit of a buggy printer to me, can I recommend a Lexmark P6350? LOL. If you bought the printer from a reputable place, you can theoretically ask them to change it for something else. Shame really, our Photosmart 8150 is good, but obv that's not a scanner.

I tell you one thing: If I don't get the right one this time around, I'm getting an AIO from somwbody else!

LOL! Fair enough, I personally would avoid Epson though. I've had too many issues with their printers, a Stylus 640 and Stylus 670 both became faulty way too early (368 days in the case of the 640, just long enough to outlast the warranty and need a £70 repair bill, yeah right, I bought the 670 for only £25 more than that.) I now own a Lexmark P706. Not the best printer in the world, but it still prints stuff after 2 1/2 years without me having to bash it to work (seriously, that cured the problem on both epsons, temporarily), which is more than I could say for its predecessors.

Yea, most of them always break out of warranty, huh? I had considered an Epson, but now that I've read your post, maybe I will reconsider? Where do you stand on Brother and Canon? Do they even make AIOs?

Yes they do, and Brother are famous for them. I haven't really had much experience with them, all I can say is there's a Canon photocopier where I worked. If the quality of that is anything to go by, get a Canon! I did a 3000 page copy job on it twice (2004 and 2005), and not one paper jam, error mesage, nowt. It was quite old too.
