If you manage to convert from PAL to NTSC I'd be amazed and very interested in how you finally did it.
I've read thru a lot (and I mean a LOT) of posts & haven't heard of a successful back up after trying to change format in some sort of procedure...

Sorry about slightly negative response , but this is how I know things to be at the moment

PAL to NTSC is different to changing the region

After rip/unencrypt with ant ripping software will make files region free so you have no problems playing back anyway. If your having a playback problem then it probably due to your DVD Player or TV that is incapable of dealing with both formats.

Also, make sure the DVD burner is not set to a particluar region.
Believe me when i say you didnt change from PAL to NTSC beacuse all you did was mess with the regions.

P.S. Don't mind Herbsamn, he gets grumpy in his old age!! ;-]

I didnt incorrectly answer the thread ORIPHUS did I ???

At no point did Blakbeard say that he had converted PAL to NTSC...it was stated 'that he tried'
A completely different matter I think you'll agree ?
Perhaps reading a thread instead of scanning it next time might be in order

P.S. it is herbsman by the way. Not herbsamn ... would that be a silent M or N ?? LOL

A better reaper I think - hehehe
