hey i just got breaker pro and its not working i have a v12 slim ps2 with tape and tisssue method and it keeps saying the dreaded please insert a ps2 format disc now i have a PAL ps2 and im thinking that maybe the guy that sold it to me sold me a NTSC version is there a program for pc that can tell me its NTSC or PAL if you can help me that would be great thank you
sometimes i wake up grumpy, sometimes i let her sleep.

If your PS2 isn't chipped, which I'm assuming it isnt since you needed to buy breaker pro, and the guy had sold you an NTSC version, then it wouldn't boot on your PAL PS2 anyway, as this would be an import title.
An unchipped PS2 will only boot original games & apps from your own region, hence the need for Swap magic, or, in your case breaker pro to load backups & imports.
Perhaps there's an issue with your burnt discs? Bad media?
And if you're trying to load a PS2 game with Breaker Pro, it won't. As its only a PsOne boot disc for PS2/PsOne.

i have got swap magic ive been using it for years i know what is good media and whats not im not new to this i prolly should of said that before though so i appolagise . when i put breaker pro in the whole thing wont load i cant get to the part were i put the imported disc in and i just found out its PAL i didnt have my glasses on and found out its right there on the cover of the cd
(boy did i feel silly)do you think there is a compatability issue with v 12 consoles?
anyone with a simerler prob ?

boot swap magic
open fliptop, take out 1 of your sensor covers. The ps2 has to know you inserted breaker pro, it needs to say "insert higher toc disc"
put in breaker pro to refresh the toc (also reinsert the sensor cover)
swap for game
V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

do i take out senser cover while disc is spinning or after sm loads to its swap stage (i have sm coder does this matter ) i appreciate your help by the way

at the swap stage. The screen should then say something about higher toc disc.

hey it works sweet i booted swap magic took out me old mate bog roll put in breaker pro put dunny roll back in quickly closed the lid (you can just hold the little brake in so it doesnt slow the disc down while it loads as well ) and then it went to the browser screen of the ps2 showing breaker pro disc i pressed x on it then booted my imported/ backed up games sweet thanks you very much. guys

but what gets me is why it doesnt work outright like swap magic? hmmm who knows?
