how do i ripp the sound from my concert dvds to disc with an mp3 format.

Quite a few program can do that. I use ImToo Audio Ripper:

I use and prefer AC3 decoder over imtoo but that's just my opinion. I would download and use both demos and see which one you like the best.

If you can find AC3dec it is a free version but will not work with Windows XP. Afterdawn use to have but not sure if they still have it or not. The new versions are much eaiser to use (imtoo and AC3 decoder) if you are new to this but do have a small fee.
I use it to put movies on mp3 and listen to them in my truck but should work with concert DVD's also.

I cheat. I use AutoGK to convert the movie to AVI. I set the audio to mp3. Once the audio has been extracted, normalized and converted to mp3, I abort and then go to the folder and there is my mp3.
