The psp will not formatthe 2gb memory stick anymore it wirked for awhile but now it will not format i keep getting format failed (80220087)

what can i do to fix this it will not format

maybe buy a card reader and format it from the computer
but why do you want to format it ?

connect ur psp through usb to the pc and delete everything..its like format but u loose the folders

i did that but now i get an error 23:data error (cycle redundancy check)

what now? and yes i have a copy of everything in folder as back up after i did the downdater for dark alex the easy one

can u format it or not...if u cant do u have the bank transfer things..talk to the guy and tell him its defective...if not u have to do something illegal like make ur own reciept and give it to sony

If you were smart then you probably got one with a warranty...tell the bloke you purchased it off that the mem stick has shit itself and he will most likely send you another one...for a minimal fee of course lol. I got a 2gb one off ebay aswell...and mine is doing fine...

hmmm well i guess if they can cHANGE IT GOOD but u couldnt delet the files while connected to the pc??
