I POSTED THIS IN THE NEWBIE SECTION BUT IT SHOULD HAVE GONE HERE IN THE ADVANCED USERS PAGE, SORRY ABOUT THAT.

Hi guys,
I am just after a few opinions on which is the best way to back up DVD films. I have read and printed out most of the guides which are really helpful to a newbie like myself but I was just after a few opinions from more experienced people of which of the processes and which software were the best. I am not bothered about getting the extras and stuff, I just want the film in a good quality picture (as everybody does) and I really wanted to get it on 1 disc. I have spent the last few days reading though this forum which I have to say is superb and full of knowledgable posters and I have jotted loads of notes down but just wondered what process most of you use.

I believe you will get a load of opinions but here is my 2 cents worth:

Process:
Dvd decrypter or SmartRipper to rip
Dvd2one to process - remove and compress
Nero or Recordnowmax to burn
(I use this process with great success - just movie)

The best method is to use DVD Shrink <--(download) to both rip and compress the DVD and then use Nero or Record Now Max 4.50 as BaaBaa says.
